INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
The swim team follows the following pool rules and regulations regarding inclement weather. Feel free to use the contact information in the above tab to check with the coaches or parent reps if you are uncertain if there is practice.
At the discretion of supervisory staff, the pool may be closed due to the following weather related conditions:
Lightning and Thunder - In the event of thunder and/or lightning, the pool will be evacuated and closed immediately. Guests must leave the pool deck and seek shelter outside of the pool area or their vehicle. The pool will remain closed until 30 minutes after the last sighting of lightning.
Rain - The pool can be open during rain, but must be closed immediately if the lifeguards are unable to see the bottom of the pool at any time. The pool will reopen once visibility is restored.
Pool Staff will announce weather-related pool closures.

- If a Severe Storm Warning has been issued
- If rain, hail, wind or any other weather condition presents a safety concern
- If the pool suffers a power outage
- If there is low attendance due to weather conditions such as low temperatures

This site is intended to be an information resource for parents, coaches, and swimmers participating on the Hadley Farms Swim Team. The Great White Sharks are part of the GGSL (Gaithersburg Germantown Swim League - www.ggsl.net) in Montgomery County, Maryland.
The Sharks swim team exist to provide a competitive summer swim season for members of the Hadley Farms Community Pool.

The swim team is an independent recreational organization made up of families in the Hadley Farms Community. We are very thankful for the use of our facility and support of the Hadley Farms Community Association.
